How long does it take?
To get the most out of each MyEJ course, it takes about 12 weeks. There’s just that much valuable content stuffed in. You’ll probably get the most out of it if you spent about 10 hours a week. But it’s self-driven, so you can pace yourself. And you can request that your timeline be paused if something else gets in the way.
Are there any extra materials to buy?
There are two short paperback books that need to be obtained for each plan. Most users buy these from Amazon or check them out from the library.
Do I have to start right away?
Your timeline starts whenever you purchase the product.
Are there other MyEJ courses besides 90-Day Boot Camp and 90 Days to Growth?
MyEJ has tons of material on Cash and Valuation, Customers and Sales, and Operations and Costs. We’re fine tuning those tracks and will release at a later date. Sign up for MyEJ today to be the first to know about these releases.
Do I have to have my own business to start MyEJ?
Nope. But entrepreneurs who do have current ventures are able to take what they’ve learned in MyEJ into their businesses right away.
Is it all online?
MyEJ is a suite of blended-learning experiences. That means that while all exercises are accessed through our web-based application, sometimes, in order to complete an exercise, you’ll need to step away from the application and out into the real world—to converse with peers and mentors, for example, or to observe a business process in the wild.
How do you define “Entrepreneur”?
An entrepreneur:
- Is someone who stands between sales and operations and makes the tough calls in a business. Tough calls like: “Which customers are we going to focus on?” “How are we going to produce the product at the right price?” “Who are we going to hire and when?” So, whether you’re a small business owner or you’re running a large division for General Electric, if you’ve got the responsibility to stand between sales and operations and run the business, you’re making entrepreneurial decisions; and
- Is someone with an insatiable urge to steer clear of the rat race, to build something of value, and to look back on life knowing he or she has truly lived it.
What’s the connection between MyEJ and the Acton School of Business?
The entrepreneur-teachers at Acton created MyEJ as a way to give more entrepreneurs access to some of the experiences our MBA students get during the intensive, one-year, in-class program.
